The popular game from Capcom “Sengoku Basara” is making its way to live-action TV drama this July entitled “Sengoku Basara – Moonlight Party”. Recent news report that singer-songwriter and actor GACKT will be playing as the “Devil King” Oda Nobunaga in the live-action adaptation. GACKT‘s song “Hakuro” will also be used as the drama‘s ending theme song.
Other actors and their roles are Hayashi Kento (“Arakawa Under the Bridge”, “Shokojo Seira”) as Date Masamune; Takeda Kouhei (“My Boss My Hero”, “Kamen Rider Kiva”, “Hana Kimi”) as Sanada Yukimura; Tokuyama Hidenori (“Kamen Rider Decade”, “Smile”) as Katakura Kojuro. “Sengoku Basara – Moonlight Party” will premiere on July 12 on MBS and will run every Thursday.
“Sengoku Basara” is a series of video games developed and published by Capcom. Before the live-action adaptation, the video game title was adapted into two anime series and an animated film. Its story is very loosely based around the many real characters and events of the titular Sengoku era in the history of feudal Japan.
