On July 4, Square Enix revealed the PC re-release of “Final Fantasy VII”. In 1998, Final Fantasy VII was ported to Windows-based PCs. The porting to PC featured smoother graphics, and also fixed translation and spelling errors, as well as gameplay-related glitches. However, the ported Windows version suffered from its own bugs, including display errors and rendering and compatibility issues to hardware and graphic chipsets.
The new PC re-release lists 36 new achievements to be unlocked, a significant online component and a “Character Booster”. The game will be available exclusively via the Square Enix store, however there’s still no confirmed release date.
