Fuji Electric in Japan developed their high-speed Food Radiation Testing System and 50 of these machines have already been delivered to Fukushima. The high-speed testing system can quickly but accurately detect radioactive elements from 30-kg rice sacks by placing them in a conveyor belt that leads to a detector which measures as little as 10 seconds per sack.
