Reuters TV official channel recently began streaming a feature video about the latest piloted giant robot called “Kuratas”. We have posted before about its showcase during the 2012 Wonder Festival Japan which was held on July 29. The robot, “Kuratas KR01″, is created by Kogoro Kurata and with his collaboration with OS developer Wataru Yoshizaki and Suidobashi Heavy Industry. The robot costs at about $1.3 million.
Wataru Yoshizaki‘s V-Sido (“Bushido”) serves as the robot’s operating system for robot control and movement. The robot can be controlled in three ways: The robot can be piloted and controlled within the cockpit; an external master-slave control system can also be used, and lastly Kuratas can also be operated via 3G Network.
