Activelink, a subsidiary of Panasonic Corp., is currently developing a power amplification robot called “Power Loader” to augment human strength which can be used in emergencies and construction sites.
The full-body exoskeleton robot, when completed, can carry more than 100kg. Though it was developed earlier in a large version, Activelink is now developing a compact version which can be used in the reconstruction of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
