From the creators of Necomimi, Neurowear introduces a new gadget which lets users experience what they call “Music Serendipity”. The Tokyo-based project team features a new product – the Mico Headphones – which plays music according to the user’s mood.
The system is made up of two parts – the Mico headphone and the Mico app for the iPhone. The headphone detects brainwaves in a user’s forehead using sensors which is sent to the iPhone app where it analyzes the user’s condition and searches for music which best suits the user’s mood. The user’s mood is also shown on the Mico headphone if he or she is focused, drowsy, or stressed.
The technology was first introduced during the SXSW Trade Show 2013 on March 10-13. Check out the introduction video below.
Neurowear is a project team based in Tokyo, focused on creating “communication for the near future”. They design prototypes of new products and services based on biological signals such as brain waves, heartbeat etc.
